To be sure, this bill is really just a test of the merit of existing federal firearms legislation. However, the laws cannot be satisfactorily tested until at least ONE law abiding citizen who is not otherwise licensed and registered to own a machine gun actually acquires a machine gun. Then the courts can take over and settle the debate.
In the meantime, are you gonna line up to be among the first to get the goods?

I might buy a few. I'm probably going to remain a Semi-auto type of guy though. I'm more concerned with the price of ammunition. Invite me to the fire range and I'll probably show up with my 22LR... won't even bring my 12 guage...5.56, fuck no... They need to bring the price back down.

With that said... if I invested in something that ran through ammo like that... I probably would never use it.

What prevents me from owning a Ma Deuce isn’t so much legal paperwork but the cost of the weapon and ammo. Yes there really are Brownings magnificent M2A1 available from time to time I’m all for less legislation on firearms

Machine guns are really expensive. Then there is the Federal Tax Stamp that you have to pay to won one. There are also strict rules for transporting them. With all the shootings we have, why make it that much easier to kill as many people as they can by allowing citizens to own automatic weapons?

No. First off the tax law that requires a $200 yearly tax fee per machine gun will still be in forced.
Second thing is ammo is expensive. My pistols and rifles eat it plenty fast enough for me.

You can legally buy a machine gun in the US. Though the cost is extortionate.

As a trained rifleman that served in Iraq, Afghanistan, tours in the balklands& Falklands i dont believe a machine gun is needed. I do enjoy living in the US because unlike in the UK I can not only own, carry & keep at home a firearm that isn't just a double barrel shotgun or.22 rifle but I can also legally use for home and self defence.
