As someone who studied Spanish in school as a third languages, it drives me mad when people don't talk proper Spanish. Como te llamas is prounounced Como te YA mas, NOT Como te JA mas! I'm not asking about your pajamas. And your name is Juan CarloS, NOT Juan Carlo! And you learned your improper Spanish at an escuela NOT an ecuela.

You got Mexicans who can't understand Cubans.

And it's not just Spanish. Morrocan "Arabic", is completely incomprehensible to other Arab speakers and practically a different language.

PLEASE! Just pick ONE freakin' dialect and stick with it! And if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Bah, you don't know you're born boy. Try being Welsh, you're actually allowed to write in different dialects not just speak them. For example in South Wales for "do you like drinking milk?" it's "dych chi'n hoffi yfed llaeth?" But in the North, you write "dach chi'n licio yfed llefrith?"

Traditionally learners would learn one or the other which was great until you got a letter or met someone from a different village. Now learners are expected to get to grips with all dialects, then we look at them like shit when they use the wrong dialect word in the wrong village. Of course it's OK when we do that.

Even the word order can be different. For "Bobs has a ball" it's,
South "There is a ball with Bob." North "There is with Bob a ball"

And what about people who live in the middle? Well they just mix everything together.
