my fam have e/v's so not particular worried about gas prices. but prices in general will go up oil continues to go up (because the transpo costs of shipping goods) and that is deeply concerning. 20% of the world's oil goes through a strait controlled by iran. 20%.
prices have already risen substantially and will only continue to do so if the war continues
War rages on? It had been 10 days and it is almost ended, The price of crude has already started to go back down and the stock market has stabilized. The traffic in the Strait of Hormuz will start to flow soon and the only thing that will take a long time to go back to normal is the price of gas. The retail gas stations as well as the distributors will take their time before they lower prices. They had no problem raising them 40-50 cents in a week but it may take months for them to go back to where they were.
@snermcger It is over now. US forces are in the mopping up stage now.
Brent is 97.97 as I write this and that with strategic oil reserves having been opened. Several oil terminals are out of action. Tankers have been torched and USN is refusing to provide escorts while just tankers going to China are permitted to pass.
No the straight traffic remaining restricted pressures more countries to join the Third Gulf War, benefits Trumps oil producing buddies and works as a justification for a ground invasion.
@exitseven
Days? 10 days? 100 days? 1000 days?
@exitseven
Its been 10 days. Now its not just a oil crisis but a potential food crisis.
@exitseven
Most of that was produced last year dumbass. Its this and next years harvest that are at risk. Especially rice in Asia.
Currently 10.03.2026 22:28 Brent crude is 91 USD, WTI Crude 83 USD. Prices are falling.
It seems remaining oil producers can handle the demand.

I'm not worried about it at all! 😊

I am, despite France is escorting oil ships in the gulf. I predicted prices will continue to rise. I know you are really asking: therefore hate trump, but prices don't prove trump had wrong policy. So yes get a bike and a good lock.
Prices might go up even more but is it as high as when Obama was in office? It was over $5 a gallon under Obama. Biden do as good a job as Obama, under Biden it was $4+ a gallon now this is my state California gas is always high because of democrat policies. Gas here now is $3.35. Again still not as bad as Democrat policies jack up prices.
A fair and helpful comeback 💯👍🏆️
The price of a barrel of oil was $120 yesterday today it was down to $86 a barrel. So the speculators on Wall Street must be thinking oil supply isn’t going to be a problem.
Im looking for a good price on cvx. Its still higher than im comfortable buying in to.
of course, it's far from over until prez pulls the plug on it. if usa calls it"job over", does iran stabilize and oil flows or they continue to shut down oil flow?
I have a bicycle, I'm fine...
fuel for the house, that's another matter. It means being cold and taking cold showers.
We are in a loop we go around and around and around same thing different year it's all about greed we should know that by now they've written many books on it this is where the rich get richer and the poor suffer but I think the poor has been through it's so many times we just adjust
I think if we keep oil out of Irans control we all prosper. Most all of the major oil companies are investing in Venezuela oil being sold in a USA / Venezuela partnership. Headlines say more oil is being shipped from Iran than ever. Meanwhile Iran has threatened to blow up the oil ships leaving. At the same time Pakistan and France are sending war ships in to aid the USA and the rest of the middle east in protecting the oil.
Don't you worry, keep calm and carry on. Trumpty Dumpty is a very stable genius. :-)
Trump has nothing under control, but it's unlikely prices will rise so high that it significantly affects me. I live in Seattle and don't drive much -- maybe 500 miles a month on average, and most of that is from occasional road trips. Even if we drive somewhere, it's maybe 15 miles round trip.
I bet you were not this worried when Sleepy Senile Joe Biden had gas prices over $5 per gallon eggs at $6 a dozen. that was a problem. But your TDS has pushed you over the edge of sanity, but I guess that what is bothering the AMERICA LAST DEMOCRATIC COMMUNIST PARTY OF AMERICA, not the millions of illegals trying to take over this country but when that happens you will be as happy as a piss clam at hightide
I am not personally concerned about oil prices. I drive electric cars and have for several years. I charge at Super Chargers but if need be I charge at home with Solar even though I still depend on the Grid somewhat.
I'm not worried about fuel prices. They would have to g9 much much higher to make a significant difference. The military action in Iran is unlikely to do that
I have an electric car, and where I live our electricity comes from a combination of nuclear and hydroelectric power. If someone takes out the grid, they'll be a nuclear response and we'll all end up dead anyway.
The beauty of living in a small town is like a walk everywhere.
Facts!
Oil refining is a big part of the local economy here. If the tankards from the middle east don't keep coming it could be bad.
Not worried. It's getting warmer out so I'll be mostly cycling and walking to work.
I'm a broke college guy and yes it scares me. I'm trying to ride my bike or walk more. Trump scares the shit out of me and he has no plan and does not care about non-rich people
I'm concerned about this, but again it's not something I can do anything about, so I don't think my worrying is gonna do any good. I'm as hell angry with Trump for causing this problem and all the other problems he's caused.
The fighting is mostly over. We are in mop-up mode now. I hope we kill a few more Ayatollahs though.
I don't have a car but I'm still worried rising prices on gas is going to affect a lot of hard working people.
I don't have a car or driving license.
But food price will increase as well.
The paedophile who is currently bombing few nations is calling Iran “a nation of terror and hate”!! Hypocrisy is off the charts!!
At a certain point, yeah.
The price doesn't matter.
I don't own a car anymore.
No, I don't drive.
I’m not worried
I've never driven !!!
Yes but not now.
No, not really.
I'm not worried.
