Its a very beautiful hotel and he's really done amazing job on the gardens and been given the opportunity to shine there but in recent months the company he works for have shown no loyalty to him. They expect him to work his arse off and then when he needs support like paternity leave or sick leave for a injury they caused due to dangerous work environment they show no support or responsibility.
My husband says he's ready to move on but he's waiting for me to give the go ahead as im 5 months pregnant and starting a new job in a new area would be a massive risk.
Due to were we live we'd have to take a living job as there is not many local country estates near us nor do they pay good.
We've been to a couple job interviews in the past together for him to live and work on an estate for Lords and ladies etc but I feel I let him down once they ask to meet me.
I may seem upper class to people in the Midlands 🤣 but im certainly not and its not exactly hard to be seen as classy compared to others over here.
My husbands looking at places like Oxford, parts of Scotland, Cotswolds, Herefordshire, Shropshire etc. Places i feel i dont fit in, i can put on a good show for people but thats not who I am.
I can put on a pretty dress and look like one of them but as soon as I open my mouth its very telling im not one of them and never will be.
I worry they see me as a uneducated, common person just because I shop at primark and speak in a Midlands accent, work in a warehouse and never went uni. Im so far removed from there lifes and have nothing to talk to them about when they try talking to me. I've only just learnt how to drive as well and I can clay pigeon shoot so thats one thing I have.
