We are doing actually quite alright. I understand that you are too afraid to travel, but you can watch hundreds of American traveler videos on YouTube. In fact I heard a gaggle of Americans at the train station yesterday, they looked quite relaxed and content.

I love America. I also love the world. I do hope more people in the Us travel outside more often. The world is a lot bigger and the experiences can’t be learn from books or tv. It helps us appreciate humanity. I always encourage young people to do so.
A lot of the training in the US is to buld fear. So the citizens of the Us live with fear.

@midnightmoon05 I do not live with fear. I just think that there is so many amazing places in the US that should be seen. I had a job where I travelled all over the country installing computer systems in banks and department stores. I worked most of the time but there are so many places that I never would have thought to visit that were really amazing places. Bayside , Texas was a small town I stayed in had a nice beach and even though I did not get to do it, the fishing is good. Cincinnatti, Ohio was a big college and pro sports town with a great nightlife etc , etc.
Why travel oitside the country to deal with people they hate Americans and locals that want to rip you off?

Funny… you know the Chinese translation for America? Pretty Country not kidding. Those whom have visited the US see the beauty of America and many admire what we have and most wish to be apart and others risk their lives to get here… no doubt America is beautiful 🤩.
The land of opportunities.
But through recent years … the training is poor and the fear is strong… even hating each other. It’s sad to see.
It’s hard to explain to anyone who do not wish to set foot outside.
I talk to many at my work with similar concerns.

For one…. They do not hate Americans - misconceptions. And they do not want to rip us off. Not sure where all that came from.

These are the reasons why I take my kids (at a young age to see the world)… this includes walking upright in Harlem and Bedford Stuyvesant.

Our view of the world changes when we open our mind.

I used to hate the I ❤️ NY t-shirt till I wondered all over NY… yes the beauty. I get it now.

As a student there are often bus or train tickets included in the study fee for this area. So you needn't a car. Fuel prices are not relevant then.
