Dang, man.
Tough choices have been offered to us here.
Even lethal injection sounds pretty lousy to me, with a person knowing that it's coming.
Having been there a couple of times myself, I'd say that not being aware that...
Hey, sorry, I'm unable to complete my reply right now...
Maybe another time.
Cheers!
Was reflecting with my wife watching my mother suffocate and struggle for months. Discovered hemlock is fairly quick poison, wonder if anyone would choose that. She would have taken something to die quicker.
Our society is kinda odd in this regards...
I looked up hemlock poisoning when I saw your question.
That sounded brutal to me.
I think I'd be glad to repeat my intensely painful heart attack after reading about hemlock.
Is your MIL still suffering?
My wife's last several months were heartbreaking to watch.
She had glioblastoma brain cancer, diagnosed two years ago.
We put our pets out of misery, don't we...
None of these. There’s a popular myth surrounding lethal injection. The first injection includes a paralytic. Just because you can’t see them writhe and scream in anguish, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t suffering.
Introducing nitrogen is likely the most humane way to execute someone, but i think there’s a way to do it so that they don’t force their own suffering by struggling to hold their breath. Give them a sleep agent before the gas. Or all death row inmates stay in pressure controlled chambers and introduce the gas without prior knowledge and while they sleep.
I think lethal injection with Euthasol like veterinarians, I wonder why some states in US don't use that for death sentence. Probably because it's not approved for human use.
Maybe getting shot in the head because that is usually quicker and since it is quick it probably isn’t painful.
I have heard lethal Injection is painful.

Humane treatment? That which typifies human values and behavior?
Well that leaves the door wide open to any debauchery and torture one can possibly conceive of. Disemboweling, burning at the stake, being drawn and quartered, pulled apart by horses, buried alive, tossed into an arena with starving lions, torture, a good stretch on a rack, starvation, hunted with a pack of dogs, heaved overboard, made to walk the plank, tossed from a plane, stoned to death, crucifixion, rat poison, disease covered blankets. The human imagination is apparently limitless.
I would rather be burned at the steak.
I’ll go for lethal injection
@lightbulb27 Thank you for the Like

Firing squad.
1st. But I wouldn't want the 1st or 2nd.
