I don't see that as a realistic possibility. One nuke could kill a million people. Ten nukes could kill up to 10 million people. After 2 days, radiation is reduced to only 1% and 0.1% after 2 weeks. The USA can bomb Iran back to the mid 1800, but at least 80% of the people will live, and several generations will hate the USA.

After ten nukes, the USA would replace North Korea as the world's most evil country and be hated by every country in the world except Israel.
