Pete Hegseth told the world exactly what kind of war he wants to fight when speaking at the Pentagon on March 13th. “No quarter, no mercy for our enemies,” he said—a phrase that isn’t tough talk. It’s a war crime.

Under the Hague Convention, the Geneva Conventions, and the Pentagon’s own Law of War Manual, declaring “no quarter” is explicitly prohibited for military leaders. Legal experts writing for national security law journal Just Security concluded that Hegseth’s statements “may be construed as counseling, commanding, encouraging, ordering, or threatening the commission of a war crime.”

We have never done this in our history, and we are never doing it now or in the future.

It's known, but this administration just doesn't care. Like I've said in other questions, this is the most corrupt president we have ever had and he enabled all these sycophants to break the law on a whim just to further break the system that Maga Republicans control for now. Hopefully more reasonable people can take control whether that be progressives pairing up with actual sane republicans to combat maga and the corrupt corporate democrats like Schumer and Jeffries.

Even the previously really hardcore Trump supporters on here seem to have lost the will to stick up for him very much anymore. I rarely see much of it like I did before. I guess even they are giving up on him. I'm glad to see that, but I wish it hadn't come to that.

Yeah, a few of them are really hard to quarrel with, though one who was named Exit. I've not seen defending him in quite a while now, and he usually was very vociferous about that.
