During the the Cold war at the Berlin wall, did soldiers in West Berlin ever engage in verbal mud slinging with soviet soldiers on the other side?

Like flipping the bird, calling names or making faces at each other? I know I've heard historical accounts of union and confederate soldiers hurling verbal barbs at each other across fields and rivers where opposing armies camped out on opposite sides during the American civil war, I just wonder if that happened here.
