Do military generals or Trump know more about winning a ground war?

Question

What happened in America today was almost a military coup.
More than 30 generals refused Trump's orders for a ground invasion of Iran.
12 of them have been dismissed, including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

It seems that Trump only hears what he wants to hear and disregards the experts. Is that wisdom or vanity, hubris or insanity?

Do you think he should stop taking advice from rabid Zionist, Israel firsters and, instead, listen to our top military experts? Israel already said it wouldn't send any of its own troops.

If there is no chance of winning, should we sacrifice our soldiers, look weak when we lose, and diminish our military capacity? Then what?

This is my take: I’m sure you’ve heard many times that Trump doesn’t bluff. But often times you see him maybe on Air Force One or something , and a reporter asks him a question like: “ Are you going to send in ground troops in Iran?”
Then Trump will say: “ I’m certainly not going to telegraph that to you, but nothing is off the table.”
I don’t view that as bluffing, because he never said he would do it. It’s more like he’s creating an illusion and letting people decide for themselves.
So III I don’t think he’s gonna send in ground troops, but he is creating an illusion that’s scaring the bejesus out of Iran. So if I’m correct, those military generals made a big mistake.

It’s not about knowing how to win

When your country calls for war you answer the call

A general unwilling to do that is a either a traitor or a coward
Neither is needed

This concept used to be understood by everyone

No one debated strategy for world war one and world war two

People took pride in fighting their nation’s enemies

This whole anti-war trend started much later and ever since it became a thing the US has not won a single a war

So yes, when war is happening you do need people around the table asking “how can we win” instead of “why should we go”

I didn't hear generals refused an order. That seems contradictory to the nature of the army but maybe that is on the political level.

What Generals? He has fired all of them or most. He is doing what Hitler did in WW2 , firing any General with morals or any that disagree or refuse to just murder people for no reason. We know how Hitler's war ended for him, but at least Hitler was a Corporal. Trump just went to reform school and it didn't help him at all.
