Why do people go on reality TV without feeling embarrassed or ashamed?

I don't think I could handle how embarrassed I would be to be on a lot of these shows. Do they have no shame? I am also the type who LOVES the spotlight, but the REASON matters.

I think the reasons why reality TV works is because two types of people are watching, those who genuinely see nothing wrong with it, and those who like watching people embarrassing themselves.

I believe those who see nothing wrong with it run their own definition of what shame is. I assume they also view entitlement as positive, as well as a life philosophy revolving around self-centeredness.

Considering a lot of reality TV is heavily scripted, I imagine it’s no different from just improvising the role they were assigned
