Any/every President depends on his field Generals for combat operations in the field. Purple is wrong- For the first time on this - and I know she does not like Trump. Even Eisenhower had to depend on Patton for field information.

No President and Trump included is going to endanger Airmen in the field by saying the Radar is annihilated' and then getting a plane shot down. - That said, with radar down, that does not limit or eliminate SAM's from operating in the field. Lying. The problem with the misinformed theory is no one in the military is going misinform any president. Not only would there be huge personal consequences but it could endanger lives.

To come to the conclusion everything was destroyed would involve and pulling together a huge amount of intelligence and double checking it. No one's going to stick their neck out without undeniable proof.

Only logical explanation is Trump ignored their reports and deliberately lied to the public.

Lately I often think and wish and empathetic for President Trump and his loyal folk - you wish (I wish) so to speak that he got more support from media and from the USA people as a whole.

You have to feel for the guy that often it seems like he's on his own 😕 and not even getting the chocolates when he is doing his job and as best as he can. The plane was downed by a shoulder fired missile not by Iran's air defense network. There is a difference between the radar and mobile long range, medium range, and short range SAMs Trump spoke about and a random hand held MANPADS lugged around by a solider. Clearly you are not smart enough to understand Trump when he speaks. He needs to talk to you like you are a special ed student.

SAMs use radar guidance to track and engage aerial targets. Infrared homing is a passive weapon guidance system which uses the infrared (IR) light emission from a target (i. e. engine exhaust) to track and follow it meaning it does not use the radar systems Trump was talking about. I'm sure you have seen war movies where there are "heatseekers" right? Do you think you can process that in your little brain?

They are mostly infra-red guided, not radar. Hot gasses are a consequence of jet engines so any plane at low levels are vulnerable
