It's already been legalized here in California, and the major negative effect of legalization has been that there are a number of people who have had psychotic episodes as a result of using either too much of it or using some of it that is unreasonably strong.

The health benefits, the enjoyment people get out of it. it would give the cops more time to focus on bigger crimes, the tax revenue it would generate, plus the fees on the permits that would be required to open up a shop. Plus safer weed for people because it would be regulated

Yes, for many reasons. Marijuana has many medicinal uses besides recreation. It can be used in tinctures and ointments and pain salves. Hemp can also be used for making rope, clothes and other stuff. 😊

there's still an illegal market... the tax revenue is low

and the costs for those doing it legally make it not worth it...
