But what's your thoughts?

It seems it was made wrong by the Chinese flag factory. This seems to be a plot to destabilize the greatest friendship among nations…
BUT I blame James Madison who was President in 1814 when the British burned the White House. That war was called the War Of 1812. I won a drunken bet in Belgium with a guy I worked with, a Brit. He said there was no such war. Myself and another American proved him wrong. He scoffed that they were busy fighting the French and that is what he learned in school.
So in 1959, The Battle Of New Orleans song was released and was number 1 for six weeks. In the UK it was number 16. A different version I never heard of before went to number 2 in the UK. It is about the final battle of that war which occurred 2 weeks after the end of the war as communication was poor. British losses over 2,000, US losses 71.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/L-9-6-y-_oII have to admit I didn't know the union jack could be flown upside! So if I couldn't tell, I am forgiving of an unfortunate soldier that put it on upside down.
And yes I know I should have written Union Flag because a Jack is a flag on the bowsprit of an RN ship.
I have sat here for 15 minutes and have absolutely no clue how to answer this question so I decided it's prolly best to just go have a drink and forget about it all. I use this same approach for many things in life.
Didn't they fly the Australian flag instead of the British flag?
You can't get more American than that.

Probably a subconscious mistake, i’m not sure how they would notice it being upside down since it looks the same either way because of it’s design, but I did know that it means a sign of distress and somebody at my job did it by accident one time and one of the guys At Work, who used to be in the army, noticed it immediately and complained
Hahahaha. Thanks gag for teaching me about the British flag today. I thought it was the same all the way around 😂
This has to be a troll question. The British flag looks EXACTLY the same when turned from top to bottom so it is impossible to hold it upside down. If you hang it SIDEWAYS then maybe, but even then it looks the same to me.
Not quite. It's subtle but if you look at the thickness of the diagonal white lines, they are not all identical. In the upper left, the white line is thicker above the red and would be thinner if you flipped it upside down like it is on the bottom left.
You can’t tell which side is up. You see how they got along real well. They are friends Trump and King Charles. I hope that you’re happy about this. You need to learn to love America. It’s a wonderful place and you can have a good time here 😊
You can tell by the white stripe. Top left should have the wide stripe at the top
Not a fan of big cities. I'm an outdoor girl. Wales is like a mini florida, beaches, mountains, swamps. Just less alligators and 'diversity'
We can travel to North Carolina together Asheville, North Carolina. It’s beautiful mountains and it’s a lot cooler. You’ll love it and we’ll go horseback riding and hiking in the woods and white water river rafting, and tour the Blue Ridge Parkway very scenic, and we’ll go up to Mount Mitchell. It’s a beautiful the highest mountain in the whole East. We can rent a log cabin out and have a campfire outdoors, or we can forgo the lot cabin and sleep in tents in sleeping bags. I’ll let you decide what you like the best. 😊 Also I like dirt bikes three wheelers. I did that as a teenager. There’s gotta be a place where we can rent them. I’m also an outdoor guy myself. We can tour the Biltmore house is a huge giant house. Well known takes about two hours to tour it that will be nice and there’s a lot of tourist spots up in the mountains of entertainment to do. We’ll have a blast. They have a lot of bars in town we can go and listen to some music they have bands and get some drinks. And we’ll go to a nice steakhouse. 😊

Choice no.2. Had trump been in charge of getting a hold of a British flag, he would either have come up with France's tricolore or the confederate flag... or most probably a checkered flag from nascar racing.
This is a huge embarrassment for President Trump, and the USA.
The USA are showing the World how well they can organise a diplomatic occasion, then there is this lack of protocol.
Under trumps leadership we are fortunate that it is even the right flag with all the bimbo's in his administration.
All they know is their own flag.
Forgive them.
U. S. soldiers are strong, dumb and waterproof. Men made from Iron (... 😉). They don't need to know stuff. Because they have nukes.
It is more likely that the standard-bearer/flag-bearer, did not know what the correct orientation of the Union Flag should be on a flagstaff, though this should have been caught by whoever was dealing with the diplomacy for the event.
I thought you were trolling again, but apparently you're not. But in Poland we have a saying, "A genius won't notice, a moron will think it's supposed to be like that", so I guess I'm a moron. LOL
LOL, doesn't mean anything.
Only the US has that "upside down flag" declaration.
Must be the kinds of assholes the post the Norway flag upside down.
The British empire is clear on this. This is an executionable offence.
How would you know it's upside down? It looks the same both ways!
@Smegskull Show me.
@Smegskull I noticed that but, if you flip it over, they're still the same.
@Smegskull I have a picture of it saved on my computer. I just opened it and flipped it over so the top is at the bottom via rotating it. The ONLY way you can tell the difference is if you have it memorized that the two outer corners on one side are cut off at a right angle while the other two are cut off as a straight line. All parts at the middle of the cross are the same, no matter if it's upside down or right side up.
@Smegskull Yes.
@Smegskull That's right! That's why I rotated it.
I think the Brits idiot-proofed their flag so that their periodic inattention to detail would not be so noticeable.
I think this depends on whether it was a U. S. or British soldier.
If they had intended to fly it upside down then it would probably had been upside up.
The flag is the same right side up and upside down. Who is trolling who?
How can you tell?
The wide white stripe should be top left.
Wait, WHAT? I thought you were trolling. I thought it was exactly the same no matter which way you put it
To be fair, that's such a minute detail. I doubt anyone pays that close attention.
I thought it's irrelevant by British flag.
How can you tell which side is up?
Probably couldn't tell
That flag can be upside down?
What confirms the flag is being flown upside down?
Probably a diversity hire.
I suppose it's possible. I voted A.
Who knows?
