Why do some users block me after I refute their weak arguments?

Some people only discuss politics to be within an echo chamber, where they shield themselves from anything that refutes their worldview to safely adhere to their false beliefs and delusions. As for why some people do this, I have no clue. I can't imagine living in a world where I not only don't know the truth, but actively avoid it. The user here, RingOfFire, instantly deleted my answer and blocked me after I thoroughly debunked his claims about Biden and Trump's terms with proof from reputable sources. People that adhere to such mindsets are why making progress is difficult.

When you refute an argument intelligently usually the other person resorts to insults and personal attacks, that’s the instinctive response.


If you’re getting blocked then it has nothing to do with your arguments
You must be the one resorting to insults as you refuse to address what someone is saying.
And I’m not saying you are but that’s why people usually get blocked

The Reich Wing, religiots and MAGA need a protected space inside an echo chamber. They are too insecure and their beliefs too fragile to tolerate logic and facts that prove them wrong. So they insult other people anonymously on this site because GAG makes that easy for them and then run to the moderators or block anyone who trashes their moronic posts.

Personally I've started blocking every one I see. I assume they are all jerking each other off daily in their own little GAG echo chamber of stupidity.
