We waste tonnes of food because it doesn't meet supermarket standards for being pretty on shelves. In other cases most of your money is going on packaging and marketing rather than contents. Lets not forget farmers are subsided to ensure food supply so technically you've already paid for it through tax.
I don't think all food should be free but there's a good argument we could easily afford a basic food package that people could pick up for free. It could even run cheaper in the long run as it would get the poor off junk food and related health conditions.
Maybe not for free but maybe it shouldn’t be so expensive. There’s enough food and water for every single person on this planet, including food for animals so nobody should be hungry or thirsty but the greed on this planet knocks me sick.
It has NEVER been the case in human history
In fact it has never been the case for all the animal kingdom.
There is no free meal.
Every time someone tries to make that happen they create more injustice in the world.
Because it’s fairer to watch lazy people starve than it is to work just as hard for less money just to feed them as they do nothing
Why would that be necessary? Force employers to pay a living wage and food companies to abide by certain standards.
Yes, I feel that. But a "living wage" is subjective. Some people might consider it $20 an hour, some might consider it $25, others might even say it's 60k per year.
Different states would have different economical baselines, of course. Cost of living indexes are not exactly hard to figure out; if we can do it, you can do it.

If you earn money to buy them, yes, If not, no.
It's "Life, liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness".
No, because between labor, packaging, logistics and movement, and all else that goes into making our food and getting it to us, those involved deserve their keep.
There is no free food. Someone must pay either directly or indirectly.
No worthless drugged up parasites should work or starve
I would agree 100% if you could explain to me how you can have food that is free?
Water free;food for a reasonable cost so NOBODY is hungry.
lol, who are the retards voting "yes"?
Don't they basically now?
Yes 👍🏻
