Humans eat meat, always have. Tigers, wolves, Polar Bears and many other species eat meat just like sharks, whales, piranha and many other living things eat other living things. Life is cruel that way.

Trillions of animals would never have been born nor hatched, never to live a day if they weren’t raised for eating. What we can do is what we are doing, cull the herd humanly. We can also take what we need and not waste. And we can be thankful, including to the beast that gave it’s life for our life sustaining meal.

Perhaps Billie would like to speak out about the practice of Halal slaughter. It is unnecessarily brutal in today’s world.

@Twalli I would think most animals that have gone extinct by humans was due to habit loss. They say we killed the mammoths in such numbers for food that they went extinct but that was thousands of years ago so who really knows. The Right whale was hunted to vastly reduced numbers and I hope they make a recovery. But most animals go extinct because that is just what happens in nature. And let us not forget that we to are animals so we are just acting as our species does.

However I also know that we need to hunt them in order to control their population and their meat is also way better than what you get in the store.

But seriously that’s just life. Things eat other things and out of all the other animals, under the right regulatory practices, humans kill what we eat the most pain free way of any other animal. So in relative terms it’s not always as bad as vegans and so on make it out to be.

If you're an "animal lover" but don't love specific animals, then maybe it means you're also a vegetarian, but you can love animals and eat meat.
