Should airlines ban passengers from taking their shoes off on planes?

No. It's hour's in an enclosed space. With different pressure effecting the body swollen feet is an expert experience.

In case of an emergency inside of an airplane shoes would be preferable to worn but not a nessesity. In terms shoes planes are not that different then passenger in cars, trains, boats. If anything plane's have the greatest excuse to take off shoes for pressure differences.

no they shouldn't do this, cause especially on longer flights, you can suffer a deep vein thrombosis, which can be fatal if you don't counteract it by for example putting on compression socks. you can't put these on if you can't take your shoes off.
