Strictly speaking the average height in South Sudan for men is 5'10, making them only a tiny bit taller than the average US man. Nowhere close to 6'2 average.

Any claims to that usually refers to the ethnic minority groups like the Dinka people. The Dinka people's verified average is about 5'11.5. So while among the tallest people in the world they are still shorter than, for example, the dutch. Who still hold that title.

I don't know if the other claims hold any truth but I suspect they are also based on temporarily viral half-truths at best, unfortunately.

The Dinka average is around 6'6, the average for South Sudan is 6'2.
You are using North Sudan data.

No I'm not, South Sudan is the tallest, you are using old sudanese numbers that included other groups. It's true the Dinka are one group, but they are still a large share of it's population and average 6:6 for men, making the average of 6:2 overall totally plausible.
