If State & Federal employees are required to sign an oath to uphold the Constitution, then why aren't they allowed to use profanity or conceal carry?

I had a State job, and the supervisors had to sign and take an oath to uphold the Constitution. How is banning conceal carry permit holders from bringing guns to work, and having policies against using profanity, upholding the Constitution?

Well conceal carry in federal and state buildings is prohibited for obvious reasons. As for the foul language…. Most places of work restrict that. It’s not an infringement of your first amendment rights because you can say whatever you want. They are just not obligated to keep you employed. Remember if you are making people uncomfortable at the work place, they can terminate you.

We had guys conceal carry, there were a few times the guns went off. Was the biggest health & safety issue we had

They are outside of work. If I was an employer I would not want people carrying guns to my offices, job sites, factories etc as I would be responsible for my employees safety while at work and libel if anything happened to them. I keep my gun in my car at work.

That's fine, but then they shouldn't claim to be upholding the constitution at work, when they aren't. Even customers weren't allowed conceal carry

Again its a health and safety thing. You can choose not to go to work or enter a federal building
