Why do people keep saying we have the worst gas prices ever?

I hear it over and over "worst gas prices ever" and while admittedly they are up a bit due to the lawn mowing in the mid east, they are still nowhere near where they were under the previous "administration" (the previous autopen) . At one point they were 50% higher. It's simply a fact. So are people really this short term brain or are they deliberately deceiving?

Where I live regular 87 octane gas was $2.90 per gallon prior to this stupid military adventure on behalf of the oil industry. Today it is $4.65 per gallon. That's a 60% increase in price.

The US average price for 87 octane gas was $2.91 in February. It is currently $4.50. That's a 55% increase due to this disaster of a war.

The peak national average price for 87 octane gas hit $5.02 per gallon in June 2022 of Biden's administration driven by post pandemic recovery creating more demand coinciding with the Russian invasion of Ukraine which tRump enabled for his buddy Putin. Neither of those things were caused by Biden policy decisions. One was caused by tRump policy decisions and one was a reflection of market forces.

Now let's talk about the increase in the national debt required to fund tRump's distraction from the Epstein files. The Pentagon estimates the final bill for the Iran fiasco will be between several hundred billion and a trillion dollars. Daily operating costs for the military assets tRump has deployed are $1 to $2 billion per day. The total impact on taxpayers at the pump is about $40 billion so far.

tRump has always been a disaster. tRump remains a disaster today. And trump will always be a disaster. He poisons everything he touches.

Short term memory! They never seem to recall when gas was way more expensive a few years ago when Joe was in charge!!
Some idiots think Trump caused the prices to go up by allowing Russia to attack Ukraine when Trump had prices almost down to $1.00 a gallon when Joe cheated him out of his rightful second term and it was JOE that allowed Russia to attack!!! During the previous administration it jumped from $1.99 to $5.15 a gallon. Thr high prices were deliberately caused by Biden's anti fossil fuel policies.
Currently gas prices went from $2.50 to $4.50 and it is to prevent an America hating country from getting a nuclear weapon.
