I know a few people who are considered not attractive who have been in relationships. I feel like unless you have some very obvious physical issues, this is mostly an excuse. Great character, aura, chemistry can do a lot and compensate to a certain degree what is lacking in terms of looks.

Obviously you also have to adjust your expectations. If your belly is expanding faster than the universe but you're only interested in 10/10 super skinny top models, yeah you'll have a hard time.

I've met people who think like that. Self deprecating comments, grumpy look, don't go much out, gloomy aura. They could work on themselves and change their situation but rather just complain about how unlucky they are.

Work on yourself and get yourself out and eventually you'll find someone you like who feels the same about you.

Many ugly people are in romantic relationships. Some ugly people never have romantic relationships because they have unrealistic standards. They reject people that they can attract because the people they can attract don't meet their standards.

Why would it be obvious or funny? I know of plenty of ugly people that are married and have kids. Marrying someone just because they're pretty is a very superficial reason for doing so! Prettiness only lasts for a while. It's what's in their heart that you should find the most attractive reason to marry them!!
