@exitseven People's names get checked off the electoral register when they vote, don't they? Then their identity is being checked. If two people turn up claiming to be the same person, it's noticed (and usually a simple mistake).

Both are incredibly effective leaders. Both are navigating a government and country that are trying to undermine them. Lincoln is far more aggressive and ruthless, but he was also a product of his time and the situation he was taming was a lot more serious. Trump is a much gentler ruler than he could be (and some would argue should be), but there's an element of whimsy and humor to what he does about things that really don't matter.
Any mockery Trump makes of the Oval Office is very surface level, and it's a result of the absurd behavior of the people who took it seriously before him. You wouldn't get any of that comedy out of Lincoln. Lincoln simply destroy what he didn't like.

Lincoln was great, but let's be honest -- no U. S. president has had to deal with anywhere near the kind of opposition and abuse of governmental power that Trump has. I can't say. While Lincoln was assassinated, Trump has been devinely protected. They've both done some amazing things yet i wonder how tough it all was on Ol' Abe? I'd bet not near as tough as Don has had it.
