No. For one is illegal to enter into a foreign territory without proper documents.

Number two, letting anyone just come into your territory puts the nation and its citizens at risk for potential crimes and terrorism as you don't know who the hell is coming in and for what purposes.

Number 3, having a influx of mass people entering a country automatically spikes up the cost of living as these people need a place to live and they need food to eat and medical care and medicine, so more demand thus higher the prices.

Number 4, citizens will now have to compete harder and may find themselves without a job because a migrant who often works for a cheaper salary got hired.

Number 5, open borders means a influx of people from all over the world coming in with various different cultures and mannerism and these people aren't going to aren't going abandoned their way of life and culture to assimilate to another country so that often creates friction and suspicion between the natives and foreigners which can cause significant violence.

Sure, we have open borders in the USA, between all 50 states and Puerto Rico. because all of those entities fall under a larger entity, the US federal government that unifies us. We can travel anywhere in all 50 states and drivers licenses, etc. are recognized in every state.

But open borders between countries make no sense. If you have open borders at the level of a sovereign state then you have no country. You have a piece of land that anyone can trespass on with impunity.

Unless you have at least a coalition like the EU where sovereign states within the coalition have all agreed to open borders with other coalition members who have met the requirements for membership and there is cooperative law enforcement despite having no real centralized authority.

For instance, the US, Canada, and Mexico could establish an agreement for a North American Union that would allow free travel across all of North America. But that doesn't exist today.

I don't support open borders. I'm okay with economic migrants from similar cultures but we all know most migrants come from failed states and toxic cultures. So I'm for anti personal mines on the boarder and hunter killer drones which patrol and prevent every illegal border crossing.

Suicidal empathy seems to be a sickness that extends beyond just opening the borders to shit people from shithole countries. Notice that they've been doing it with our own criminals as well... instead of keeping them locked up, they let them right back on the streets until they kill someone and even then, will let them back out if they can. Also this, they've been putting people on a pedestal that just 30 years ago would be seen as mentally ill or sick... I could make a list of who those are but just look up the hierarchy of the victim Olympics.

To answer the question, no I do not suffer this sickness of suicidal empathy. If I found myself in a position of power, I'd be doing a lot more than deporting and closing the borders.
