Yet again, it's been won by a non white who probably only has English as a second language. In fact, no white American has won since 2007. If you look at past group photos of finalists, it's like a game of spot the white man. Even this years simple winning word moorhen seems a nod to it.
So is it time to end the ongoing shame? Or should rules be brought in to make it fair for white students such as spell a word, then drink a beer? or allow emojis?

Now that's a crazy point on so many levels... There's really a lot to unpack here.
First of all, correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe these national spelling bees are held in the USA, right? I guess if there's a separate category for adults, I should pay the USA a visit in order to participate. I would definitely rank high, even though I am a white person, falsifying Your assumption. See... The majority of white people on US soil are US citizens, a. k. a. the hosts. They have nothing to prove. If the immigrants (a. k. a. the guests) make an effort to actually assimilate, I'd say it's a major win for the MAGA "America First" policy. You see, the phenomenon You described would suggest that the immigrants are starting to make an effort to assimilate into the wider American culture, instead of forming exclusive, separatist enclaves. This definitely does further the goal of establishing the value of fitting in with the USA (or, after a significant simplification, "America") as a country as a core value for most people on US soil. In the same spirit, if I ever immigrated to the USA, I would make a conscious effort to blend in - and I am confident that once I polished the American accent in speech, I could pass for a member of family of US citizens going back centuries.
Second, I couldn't help but notice that the photos You provided mostly depict Asians, including Indians. Last time I checked, the main topic regarding the supposed racism in the USA is usually about the Black people. Why is it that You provided no photos of Black people among the finalists of these national spelling bees? Is it an unfortunate omission on Your part? It couldn't possibly be because of the poor quality of the Quality Learing Centers (or, if we translate this to Your mother tongue, British English - Quality Learing Centres 😉) that they have established? Right? Right? I mean... I can spot a white person on the first photo, but it looks like the Black people are even more heavily underrepresented! Funnily enough, a lot of the Black people in the USA are also co-hosts, and it sure looks like they are trying even less than the white people when it comes to proving themselves... While the pupils of these famous Quality Learing Centers I mentioned earlier would not count among the co-hosts in the proud nation of the USA, they also seem to be absent from the photos You provided... Could it be that You chose the members of two cultures famous for having the world's strictest approach to education, combined with a high desire to prove themselves as the citizens of the "civilized world", in order to put down the white people?
Last but not least, I cannot see why President Donald Trump would ban the national spelling bees due to a low representation of white people among the winners. He is America First (except when there is... erm... turmoil in the Middle East), not "white people first". In fact, I believe He made quite a show out of awarding a certain sick Black kid the title of an honorary Secret Service officer... While there was admittedly a huge subtext in this ceremony, with a lot of people probably realizing that a Black kid dreaming to be a Law Enforcement Officer - while also... erm... having a caring father, You know - goes heavily against the common stereotype about the Black people, President Donald Trump Himself never spelled it out, treating the Black kid in the spirit of actual equality. Also, one of the closest confidants of President Donald Trump at some point was (and possibly still is, I do not follow the US politics close enough to be sure about that) none other than Vivek Ramaswamy, who is literally of Indian descent. I could see why some extraordinarily cuckoo KKK members might campaign for the abolition of these national spelling bees, but there is clearly no reason for President Donald Trump to actually do it.

USA Imported people with family values and intelligence. They brought their families over... I was part of that H1 B effort. They reproducing and in spite of the sub optimal schools, they are successful and so get the best schools. Many smart "born in the USAs" go to sub optimal schools imposed by location and dollars. Those kids smart, but don't get food, emotional support, teaching or good environments. The parents are divorcing, screwed up, the kids get lazy, American garbage culture, etc... So the odds are stacked in favor the immigrants.

You are right, it lacks diversity as it doesn’t include white men. Therefore one third of the population is not represented at all. Clearly the overwhelming majority of female teachers have played a role in this. While they were stressing lessons on how white men’s success makes other people feel bad about themselves, everyone else was free to study root words and latin. Affirmative Action and the NBA should have diversity goals including white men, I mean White men. It is time to end this wrong.

Who cares what color person wins it. We know foreigners care more about schooling than white people do (not all not all). I've never even known a White person that wanted to participate in a spelling bee and I attended A+ ranked schools with like 99.7% graduation rate and I've known several valedictorian. It's just not a White cultural activity. I'm sure you won't find a lot of White rattan basket weaving champions either.

No, but there should be a "red state, white kids only" spelling bee. It should be held spontaneously by going randomly from school to school in the red states and asking for the best 10 kids in each grade. Then have a "spell-off"; no preparation just instant contest. But, it has to be streamed live, because everyone likes to watch disaster as it unfolds.

No. If white people can't manage to win it, then that's their problem. Non-white entrants should not be penalized and spelling bees should not be banned because of this. Even if English is their second language, those students work hard to learn English, so it's not relevant if they have ESL students. Your racism and white victim complex are showing.
I don't see the point of spelling bees and think they should be banned for being boring and the winner should be given a trophy with 'boring little smart arsed shit' engraved on it.
As an English man, I can confirm that Indian people are better at spelling than Americans. I think it's because they use an English dictionary rather than that Webster crap.

No and banning a spelling competition seems very trivial in my opinion. I support the decision about banning trans women from women’s sports because trans women are born male and will always be male because humans cannot change sexes.
