it depends whose misfortune you're cracking wise about and how much their misfortune was self inflicted and deserved.

Case in point: MAGA is suffering mightily right now with tariff based inflation rippling through the US economy broadly and the cost of energy nearly doubling after military conquest for shits and giggles in Venezuela and Iran. MAGA farmers are going bankrupt. Jobs are being wiped out. Food prices are shooting up dramatically. Healthcare facilities are shutting down in Red States. And medical professionals are leaving the USA for Canada and other rational nations. It's hitting poor White America hard.

And you know what. It's fucking hilarious because these morons voted for all of it and they still defend it even as their own lives are circling the toilet bowl they flushed themselves. So I have zero sympathy for them and love watching them suffer as they pull up to the gas pump for some $5 gas to fill up that V8 pickup truck that gets 9 mpg and has a gaping 25 gallon gas tank. Then they drive to the grocery store for some $25/lb steak and an overall bill that has increased 25% in about 15 months since Cheeto Jesus started making their lives miserable.

Well, I think everyone agrees with that by nature. You never like to be made fun of and that's also true about other people.

But one thing that is even more important to consider is that, it is something that people most likely face in your life. People make fun of you, ignore you or just compare you with others negatively. It's important not to care about what people say. If develop that mindset, that would the key to a more enjoyable life.
