It’s going to take thousands of years to breed out the survival of the fittest instinct because it was basically that way for humans for the last million years until the industrial revolution. 100,000+ years ago you had people hitting each other in the head with rocks and poking each other with sharp sticks over caves, women, and animal carcasses. Not to mention hunting grounds and fishing spots, whole tribes killed each other over those.
