@exitseven with gas prices being higher federal & state are probably making a killing in taxes so we know they love it. A lot of other countries pay higher gas prices than we do as well. Inflation was higher in the past & you are right 5 bucks a gallon or higher as well. 4.2 inflation is a lot lower than 9.9% which we had a couple of years ago. Homes are selling. I just sold a house last month. I got full asking price and it was on the market for 6 days. My realtor told me that he could sell more houses but there were not many for sale.

Biden would have an open border and taxes would be sky high to support another 20 million illegal aliens. We would still be financing the war in Ukraine and gas prices would be 5 bucks a gallon.

it was steady at around 2.5% until the strait of Hormuz was closed and caused fuel prices to rise. When it opens again, and it will open soon, inflation will drop just as fast.
