As far as my understanding it's a memorandum that opens up talks. I think calling it a deal is just political theater. If Trump successfully gets Iran to dismantle its nuclear program I'd consider the deal a good thing. That assumes things don't just fall apart again. At this point I'd consider this war a military success followed by a political stalemate. With the agreement both sides can declare victory. Trump gets his deal and Iran survives. It's likely Iran will take years to rebuild and we will return to this again in a couple decade. Trump missed an opportunity and the relationship with Israel will likely sour.

It's a win because Iran has been a hugely destabilizing force for the last 40 years. This conflict reduces American oil costs longer term, makes the Middle East safer (for the population and for foreign investment), eliminates Iran's ability to create weapons-grade uranium, and considerably weakens a profoundly abusive regime.

It does none of those things. Iran has basically been minding its own business and has not been destabilizing anything. This doesn't reduce American oil costs one bit; in fact, it probably increases them. It does not make the Middle East any safer than it's always been. The real problem in terms of stability in the Middle East is Israel, not Iran. It certainly does not eliminate Iran's ability to create weapons-grade uranium since Iran is smart enough to have that stuff buried far underground, where even the expensive US weapons can't reach it.

As for Iran being abusive, you probably should take a look at home at our own government and start talking about what's really abusive. This tactic of deflecting blame onto the opposition because you don't like them, even though they really have not done anything wrong, is just beneath you. Or at least it should be.
