17 people die each day waiting for an organ transplant. Should people be able to charge for bone marrow, a kidney, or part of their liver?

Yea selling your own organs should be allowed, many would argue people would steal organs but people already do that and hospitals expect people to gift their organs so then they can later on charge it to the person they are doing surgery on.
Desperate people would part themselves out without thinking it through. Problem gamblers come to mind. It's a gruesome picture.
@Kelley1 People should be paid for any part of their body used even after death payment should go to their family members
All medical costs for living donation are covered by the recipient's insurance, and federally funded programs reimburse donors for non-medical expenses like travel, lost wages, and dependent care up to $6,000. However, some incidental expenses are not covered, nor are pain and suffering, and possible future related medical expenses.
People are motivated to donate sperm, eggs, and even blood because they are well paid. They are not motivated to donate bone marrow, kidneys, and part of their liver because it is painful, dangerous, and they don't get paid. Being allowed to sell their organs would reduce the wait time and the number of people dying while waiting for a transplant.

I imagine that there are people out there that have sold a kidney to some rich guy.
no then only those with money would get them
@Kelley1 They're not helpful to society at all. They're helpful for keeping the cogs of civilisation spinning.
All of the rich people currently are too cowardly to defend their people, which in the past they felt an obligation towards. Where is the industrial scale production of beauty in modern times like we saw from the Victorian era? A lot of rich people actively undermine society by investing in the shittiest art they can find, which inflates the value of their slop and makes real art less valuable.
I can list so many examples. I believe it is less to do with just "Rich people = Evil" and more to do with how government influence in the private sector rewards the sneakiest, most psychopathic personalities. Before Christianity, wealth was always associated with good character. Even after Europe converted they continued to associate wealth with virtue.
But printing and literacy led to people becoming literate, which means they could read the bible themselves. This led to a culture of modesty and abstaining from worldly pleasures.
This is the moral framework communists spitefully adopt whilst not necessarily being religious.
