Should Democrats nominate a democratic socialist for president in 2028?

I’m curious whether Democrats think democratic socialism is actually popular enough to win nationally, or whether it only works in deep-blue districts. My view is that running a democratic socialist would expose how far left the party has moved and would be a major general-election liability.

The rest of America needs to understand that if they get that power America will be drastically changed and there will be no getting it back. Our freedom that is.
