I read it as teenager, it's about teenagers and not trusting adults
I loved it
I didn't trust adults. Still don't.
I thought it captured life perfectly
I realize now while the lesson still true, it's now about trusting people in general
I work in an office and I really think you can't trust anyone

I did not like Holden Caufield because he judged people for their feelings and fears instead of showing empathy for those that were struggling, and then pretends he is more righteous then the innocent people he judges, because he is more direct and outspoken then them.
Yes. I have read this. It was part of the AP English curriculum at the high school I went to.
I believe it was 11th grade that I read it, but it could have been 12th. Not sure and doesn't matter. It was a good book.
To me it fell the book was more about conformity. The way we tell people to act their age and think and act like everyone else. He wouldn't to protect that childhood innocence. I mean at least that's what I got from it.
i read it. stupid title. about a kid doing terrible stuff. he should have obeyed his elders.
He smokes
Drinks
And hire a call girl
He didn't have sex with her though
I had to read it in high school. So, yeah.
It wasn't part of the school books when I read it
I guess reading it in school, it was a drag? 🙂
I felt like any assigned book was a drag. I liked when we got to choose what we wanted to read and then write about.
That said, it was a good book.
Yo! ☝️🙂
I never read it.
Yeap
