Do highly intelligent people often pretend to be normal or less smart?

I was watching a famous spine surgeon in America who makes $3,000,000 a year because I was curious how extremely intelligent people sound and behave, and he seemed like the most gentle, uninteresting, and normal intelligence person you can find.

But I learned a lot of smart people pretend to be dumb so normal intelligence people will not be jealous of them.

Both Obama and Priscilla Chan pretend to be basic and average in public. You would never know they went to Harvard if it was not public knowledge.

They do not use big words or talk three times faster than you, they act totally typical. It’s fake normalcy so people will not be jealous of them.

I know a few women who do... they do not want to threaten some guys. I say those guys are not the ones you should care about anyway.

I worked for a big high tech company and worked with a couple of guys that developed some pretty important tech. They were certified geniuses. One was an MIT grad. They were just regular guys that used to ask me for help sometimes.

Probably. A genius like thay scairs people on some level. He's got alien sci fi monster energy to some degree.

Sometimes I guess, similar with really rich people hiding their wealth in riskier environments
