Life Is Hard No Matter Where you are, who you are and regardless of the influence and resources you have at your disposal. Agree or Disagree?

Nope. People born into wealth can be monsters in my experience. Their values are screwed up because they've never had to earn anything so they appreciate nothing. Their sense of entitlement can be monumental because they have never heard the word "NO". Their parents were absent for the most part. They lack empathy because they don't understand that everyone wasn't born into wealth like them. And they tend to exist walled off from other people in a very restricted environment of similarly privileged people.

Does this mean their life is hard? Do I have any sympathy for them? Well in one sense no, everything is too easy for them. On the other hand they never experience failure and success. They grow up empty shells with few real friends and zero empathy. But they didn't have a vote as kids. By the time they reach adulthood their personalities are more or less locked into place for another useless generation of parasites. I still find it impossible to have any sympathy for them.

For the rest of us, yeah life is a struggle over a wide range of "struggle" that spans Western Industrialized economies and 3rd world agrarian societies still living off he land to some degree. What one person finds "normal" another may find appalling. What one person finds "normal" another may find luxurious.

Disagreed entirely. Some people have literally never worked a day in their lives and can buy anything they want with their parents money. And they got the best educationa and mentorship, best healthcare, easily making connections with high status people, and being able to what they want when they want. Vacation? They can go anywhere anytime.

Imagine royalty back in the day. They had servants do everything for them. The food was cooked, the shelter was provided, guards to provide them safety, nurses to take care of them... all just for being born as royalty.

Then there are some people who are born disfigured or with severe fatal illnesses with intense chronic pain and suffer from the moment they're born to the moment they die.

Not all lives are hard. Some people have it on easy mode and some people are living on the hardest difficulty.

Disagree. Resources, connections, good look and being not retarded make life to easy mode. Of course if you like it, you can make it complicated but it's not per definition a struggle.

Nothing is offered on a golden plate. Not your degree, nor your professional career. Unless you belong to the 0.000000000001 percent of the extremely wealthy.

But it isn't a struggle either. It's a matter of choices you make along the way, a bit of luck, a lot of determination and applying the correct skills you learn along the way.

Disagree. People who are born millionaires often retire as billionaires. They've never done a hard day's work in their lives either. It's easy to make a million dollars when you're born with a million dollars, because worst case scenario is invest in real-estate and watch your fortune multiply itself while you sip magaritas.

I don't think so. Objectgively, life difficulty varies. Subjectively someone who just lost a penny can feel as depressed as someone who just lost their spouse to cancer. So that varies a lot too. And as a result an objectively easy life can feel subjectively as difficult as an objectively hard life to someone who's subjectively more resilient.

From an external point of view, running comparisons then, disagree. That's when the shrink's going back home.

Ideally, both point of views can coexist peacefully...
