I found out quite early on that you cannot like everyone, nor everyone is going to like you. Or give any value to the things you say or the way you live your life. Everyone has his or her own priorities, which are not the same as other people's.

So I always say what I think, even if it sometimes gets me into trouble. It makes true friendships and the people I care about much more valuable, because I already thinned out the rest.

It's not your job to make everyone happy nor do people have any right to expect you to please them. I know many may disaprove of my choices but they have zero authority over me and their opinion carries even less weight.
