Nope. I can be informed and realistic about history, acknowledge the dark aspects, and still be proud to be an American. Being aware of the bad doesn't require blocking out all the amazing things about this country.
Even the best presidents and administrations did bad things.
I still love America.
I would say that those who only see the bad are the idiots.
And those who are blind to the terribleness of both political parties or to politicians from the parties they support are idiots. For instance, those who despise Trump but worship Obama are blind morons.
