Am I Islamophobic? Do you see the fact that 100,000 Christians got murdered by Muslims in Nigeria. 90 % of the child rape is done by Muslims in Europe. Do you want this happening in your country? I strongly support Israel’s right to exist and the Jewish people’s right to have a homeland, but I don’t think one Facebook video settles the separate question of whether particular Israeli policies amount to forced displacement or ethnic cleansing. Those claims should be judged on the evidence, not simply dismissed because we support Israel.

I also wouldn’t lump all Muslims together. Islamist extremist groups such as Boko Haram absolutely have murdered Christians and Muslims, abducted children and used children in their insurgency. But the claim that “90% of child rape in Europe is committed by Muslims” is not supported by the official data I can find; even British authorities say reliable offender data for group-based child sexual exploitation are incomplete, and the ONS does not have the requested religion breakdown for offenders.

Condemning Islamist extremism is not the same thing as condemning Muslims as a whole. I can support Israel, condemn Hamas and other jihadist groups, defend persecuted Christians, and still insist that factual claims about either Israelis or Muslims be supported by evidence.
