I expected old people to die. When i saw the chinese plan succeed, by the overpopulation fell -by 3 million last year i believed that some were born but 3mn more than births, they died. The old died. So less old. But if so-

If more born (i guess i should add explanation- for those who add 9+9+9 and get 21 or 24 which are both common replies these days -but one of the answers must be wrong -cough, that those born are young and increase the group young people), while millions less of old, the median age should be younger than before?

how can we explain: despite the success of "overpopulation decreased by 2 million and more: 3mn each year for 3 years" but median age is older?

China is the inevitable conclusion of socialism, which is basically feudalism 2.0.
There is a massive gender imbalance. Imagine you are a young 20 year old man, your stuck in poverty working a dead end 12 hour a day 7 days a week job for a subsidence (living wage) living in a 5x2 room. Because there is a shortage of young women of marraige age you are forced into involuntary celibacy as all the women are choosing more economically higher status men. Nothing is ever going to change. If your lucky you can escape to the west or other Asian countries to change your fate which is no future, no wife, no sex no kids. That is why Chinese factories lile apple had to put up giant butterfly nets on top of their buildings because chinese workers were throwing themselves off them every day. Lots of these young men are driven insane.

Ah... These are Chinese Communist statistics and it is good guessing on YT as to what there population. 700 to 800 million appears to be the most popular guesses.

It is a command economy. So the central gov't sets targets and local sets lies to send to the central gov't.

Much the same happens with their GDP. Probably 40% smaller.

There are many Chiese citizens that ha ve such a shitty life that they are killing themselves in record numbers. There are suicide nets set up in some of the cities because the people are treated like slaves
