Absolutely not. It's a useful skill to have, but there are many places worldwide where tens if not hundreds of millions of people live where it's unnecessary to own a car, even in countries with lots of cars.
Nope

You need a car to get around and do the things that you want to do
If you use your car to try to get friends well you're going to get fake friends not unless those friends are at car shows because they have cars but if you're trying to impress somebody to manipulate them and to become any friend in your own way and then them using you as they become a car guy I guess it's a lose-lose situation for both
Now if you want a true friend Show off with nothing have nothing That way you know That they're not out looking for something If they become your friend and you have nothing That could be a true friend
I live in the inner city so a car is a nuisance though I have a licence. I can always rent or uber. Outer burban girls are happy to drive to me when I invite them to the inner city for a dinner and I have a free car park for them.
In a rural or suburban area, absolutely yes. In a dense inner city area, not so much. I will say, however, that the proliferation of less expensive "rideshare" options, besides providing extra income part time work to millions by now, has also made mobility less costly for carless individuals in suburbia.
Not being friends with someone because they don't have a vehicle is a stupid reason.
That depends on where you live. Less than 15 percent of the people in this world own a car.
It is definitely a requirement to be able to date women. Even back in the old days when I was dating I know that most girls would have had a pretty dim view of having to walk to a destination.
@goaded Many years ago I took a girl to see a live musical performance in the city. It was the day after a big snowstorm so parking was a problem. I ended up parking about a quarter mile away, It should not have been a problem but she was not the typical outdoorsey girl I usually dated. She was wearing these ridiculous leather boots that she could not walk in.
After the concert I left her there while I ran to my car and drove back to pick her up.
Not in many places around the world. In some plces, it's just a burden.
No you don’t but you need to get around
I don't.
My vehicle, my pride 😁
It helps.
