I am sure like any court case there was due process. Everything had to be investigated first. I am sure that takes time. Having to interview a lot of people on different schedules and then piecing things together takes time I would expect.

I am surprised they formally charged a person without doing more investigating first. The whole story of one man making that big of a cut didn't seem plausible to begin with. I have to imagine the amount of people and surveillance in that area is a lot.

There is video of him in the pool and his hand goes under water in the vicinity of whare the damage was done but the video does not actually show the instrument he allegedly used and the resolution is not that great. There is no video of the vandalism to the adjacent field.
