Traversing the heartland of the midwest, there are 100's of miles upon miles of corn and crops. There should be no excuse for hunger or exorbitant costs of groceries and produce. I believe a lot of our crisises are manufactured crisises.

Second, why do we really have so many adversaries. Some will claim other nations hate us because we are "the leader of the free world," but I believe there are other reasons, like we have really instigated conflicts and pissed a lot of people off.

Notice the whole American Last claim is actually becoming more apparent and obvious. I sometimes believe we don't really vote for our own leaders and there is something more sinister happening. All the propaganda we have been fed all these years were all lies.

Little bit inbetween. It's all incentives structures. Early capitalism had an order carrot, horse, wagon. Now the wagon is in front of the horse and god only knows where the carrot is.

That's the whole 2008 financial crisis. Bank giving out no income, no job application "NINJA" morgage. It was all for pumping up numbers to get a bonus.

A similar thing is happening with all of our farm land. Bad incentives. We have WIC that in of itself is a good thing but have an unhealthy obsession with milk. 2 gallons a kid every month and school are flooded with it. And the milk cows ultimately get turn into lowest level of beef for fast food. Yet we want the highest level of beef in our steaks. So double the beef double the corn quadruple the land.

It would also turn into rice and beans greens 3 meals a day forever. Once a week damn good steak, pork another week to mix it up. If you got to eat meat everyday it's going to be chicken rotisserie only. Maybe more varieties of chicken depending on how many eggs we want.

It's a hard trade off but a smarter one.

The corn is used in part to make corn sugar which makes people sick whoch makes ‘health’ care wealthy. Its good business. Of course it makes ineffective fuel that damages small engines as well and junk feed for animals inclusing pets making them sick to keep populations down. Hige benefits to corn! Who is actually going hungry? The average American today has more body fat than the average pig. There are probably quite a few kids going hungry due to their parents negligence. But as far as adults actually going hungry because of circumstances out of their control, the number is negligible. The abstract: I think your first paragraph sounds plausible, but I think what you are also seeing is simply the side effect of capitalism, that is, price yo-yoing and price gouging in response to the continuing need for money and profit by capitalism. I would argue that, if nothing else, this is a more parsimonious explanation.

I agree completely with your second paragraph. The United States is a very unpopular country in this world, as I have learned through my travels. It has a lot to do with its recent military aggression as well as its continuing long-time economic aggression.

Finally, I do not know what to make of your last paragraph at all. It sounds conspiratorial, apparently. On the other hand, it's certainly not outside the realm of probability. Thank, the truth is we will never know.

I believe America according to the Founding Fathers and its vision of freedom, liberty, and prosperity is what I believe in. The corruption and what the US has been warped and transformed into is not what I support. We truly need another revolution at this point. Mass surveillance, corruption of public officials, and swaying farther away from what a government's core functionalities should be... that should be sending chills down everyone's spines. We are allowing our law enforcement to go unchecked while other parts of our public safety (fire-rescue and EMS) are being shit on royally. Of course no one seems to care that our fire services are crumbling right now. Instead, our government wants to partake in inside trading, bribery, and building all sorts of nice shiny amenities when we let our core infrastructure crumble. Our food prices are unreasonably high, our fuel prices have been astronomically high, and homeownership becomes less and less obtainable. The average, everyday American is being fucked. Where are our taxpayer dollars REALLY going?
