I hope this will hammer the truth into some hard heads.

46% of USA leans right and 45% leans left. Each thinks that the other side is brainwashed.

If the other side is mind controlled, then you must agree that 45% of the people are traumatized.

Then you ask what traumatized them? They lived the exact same kind of life as you lived.

And that's the point. You lived through the same shit. Which means you are also traumatized. Which means your politics are just cope to run away from your pain and label it normal.

The vast majority of people are brainwashed by fake history, religious beliefs, fake science, TV commercials, lying politicians, news that omits most facts and only allows one-sided narratives.

I suppose that causes what you called trauma but the victims are unaware of it. If anything, they are traumatized when they encounter differing views and experience cognitive dissonance.

Then again, most people fall for highly traumatizing fear narratives. Look how they reacted to the covid campaign. Look how they react every time the government declares a new "enemy" leader or nation. Look at the current attitude toward Muslims and Latin Americans. And now, fear of communism is the latest fear porn.

People are easily programmed and manipulated. That is how they are taught to fear, hate and kill.

Liberals and conservatives have different brains and different decision making styles.

I think it is politicians that traumatize and not necessarily the politics themselves.

Inherently politicians want people to turn out and vote for them. Traumatizing voters is the best/safest course of action. Make it a life and death issue.

Though politics themselves could traumatize. Demanding trans women go to women's prisons only for it to turn out that trans-women rape real women in jail has to be traumatizing.

Being an AWFuL has to traumatizing in not being to define a woman despite being one.

Which side can't read a statistics chart that disproves their ignorance without calling the data fake?
Which side has allowed the entire country to be grifted by billionaires while the average American has no more than 2 months savings in the bank?

(a) You seem to have conflated "brainwashed" with "mind control." They're not the same thing.

(b) You seem to have conflated "mind control" with "trauma." When in fact they're not the same thing, and being mind-controlled doesn't even necessarily cause trauma. A person can be quite happily, contentedly, controlled by someone or something else.

(c) But then out of nowhere you ask the question, "What traumatized them?" Even though you had previously assumed that being mind-controlled was what caused the trauma.

(d) Then you assume that everyone is living "the exactly same kind of life" as everyone else, which is obviously not remotely true.

(e) Then, from this wildly false assumption, you conclude that everyone is traumatized.

(f) And from that invalid conclusion, based on a wildly false assumption, you further conclude that no one's political beliefs are sincere, but are in fact, "a cope to run away from your pain."

So, either you've got some reading comprehension problems, and you're using words in your argument despite not knowing what those words actually mean; or you don't understand how basic logic works; or you were under the influence of some mind-altering drugs when you posted that; or you're just an idiot.
