No, why should everyone pay for other people's unhealthy decisions.
Free is never free.
It already is for low income, retired and disabled people
Yes but the government will screw it up like Obama did.
There is no โfree.โ Who is going to pay for it?
NO. Socialized health care is low quality health care
How can it be free? Someone has to pay?
It should be free everywhere
No. Commie care kills people
Yes it should be free for everyone.
Yes.
@Smashingdoozy Hey- how is the healthcare in Great Britain? If I needed a knee replacement, how long would I have to wait? How long is the wait in the emergency room? Is the free healthcare really free?
Also- how are you doing?
@exitseven The NHS was established in Britain in 1946. The healthcare system is free.
@exitseven the last experience I had in the emergency room in the USA I waited 6 hrs in the waiting room while bleeding all over the chair, it then took another 4 hours after I was triaged to see a doctor.
In the UK my only experience in the emergency room i waited maybe an hour to be triaged, saw a dr maybe a couple hrs later.
Obviously it's free at the point of service. You pay for it in your taxes which is significantly less than youd pay in insurance and taxes combined in the US.
I dont know anyone who needs a knee replacement so I can't comment
thank you.
@exitseven the whole wait time argument is just fear mongering bullshit. Get out of your bubble and into reality please
@Kingofkings1992 In Canada elective surgery like a joint replacement can take 28.6 weeks. A very long time.
@exitseven the time can be the same or worse in the US too. All depends on where you live, your insurance, urgency.
Yes , I just had this done last January. It took me a week yo see the doc, after we decided I needed the surgery it was 4 weeks after that. I didn't even stay overnight. I was home by 4 PM. The whole thing was a 20 dollar copay pay. That included 12 weeks of PT.
@exitseven mmhm and thousands paid into your insurance...
As i said you can experience that anywhere wait time a vary on a lot of things
This is why you major in one of the STEM curriculums or learn a trade. I have a job that has excellent health insurance.. My wife works in Healthcare so she picked the best plan for us. If you don't want to work you get what you pay for
@exitseven the world would cease to function if everyone worked those jobs.
@Smashingdoozy If nobody worked those jobs the world would really grind to a halt.
@exitseven? I think you're missing the point
@Smashingdoozy I really do not understand.
@exitseven not everyone can have a high paying crazy job. People still need to work the lower paid jobs. Your job shouldn't determine how good or bad the healthcare you recieve is. Everyone should have equal access to healthcare.
@Smashingdoozy there is not an unlimited amount of healthcare in the world like there is only a finite amount of food in the world and not everyone gets to go Disneyworld or gets to live in Hawaii. Yes, the world is not a perfect place but it is a lot better than it was even 50 years ago. We live better now than we did when I was growing up. We live much better now then when my parents were alive during WW2. Most people in the civilized world have access to healthcare, however, like anything else in life, you get what you pay for. Yes, it is not a perfect system but it is reality,
@exitseven healthcare is a human right. Basic Healthcare should be free at point of service. If you want something more by all means pay more for it.
@Smashingdoozy if it is a human right,. exactly who is expected to pay for it? How much would you be willing to contribute to the cause?
@exitseven you pay through taxes...
@Smashingdoozy. Yes I get it. Would you be willing to pay another 10,000 dollars so everyone else gets a free ride?
@exitseven thats not what the amount is. As I said you end up paying less in taxes in a country with free Healthcare than what you would with taxes and insurance combined
Yes... Quite true and important
No such thing as free Healthcare
@FrodoSkywalker007 im sure they mean paid by esch taxpayer rather than solely the individual themself
Tell that to the rest of the developed world who is making it work just fine. The reason it'll never happen in the USA is because the USA is corrupt and ran by money.
@Kingofkings1992 read @itss_lily reply
She is correct.
D**N SKIPPY !!!
Do you work for free?
How do we make it free?
It used to be non profit
Do you want to pay more tax?
In my opinion yes it should be
Itd be nice
Yes!!
Fuck no
Absolutely not
Yes 👍.
Basic healthcare yes
