When is it legally or ethically okay to target by race, sex, or culture?

there's Chinese organizations, and Jewish, etc.. it seems some groups are allowed to limit by market segment. But if change that word to white, southern hillbillies, etc.. lawsuits.

Legally it depends. Ethically it depends on the person. For me? Pattern recognition. When the vast majority of x group causes x problem, then im going to associate that group with that problem.

That makes sense to me, at least to some degree. I get the ither view though that just because some identity characteristics can be called out doesn't mean all do that. And it hurts to be falsely accused by association.
Ex… ‘those old days white guys robbing wall street again and getting bailouts’ doesn't mean all old white guys.

Tough shit. Like for example, after almost 2 years since muslim terrorists attacked Israel on Oct 7th, supported by Muslim civilians. Not once in those 2 years, have I seen a single muslim or leftist flatly say it was wrong to mass murder and mass rape and kidnap Jewish civilians. Not once. But what I have seen, are Muslims and leftists supporting it, condemning the victims and those trying to save the kidnapped victims, while chanting the song "river to the sea", a song about jews experiencing genocide. So when both demographics espoused these things for years with 0 deviation I've seen, what is reasonable to conclude? And if others are unfairly painted with this, tough shit, they should have said something to those supporting rape and murder.
I can make more examples if you want. Like how black people make up 13.5% of people in America but do over 30% of all violent crime. Higher in both stats in every place they make up more than 15% of an areas population.

It's always legal to target by race, sex, gender etc, if the post requires a specific trait.

You are not going to get many White females that speak Swahili, for example. But you are going to get a 80% hit on a Black man who speaks Swahili.

Likewise, Chinese organisations cater to Mandarin or Cantonese speakers. White and English speakers can go kick rocks in most cases.
