The question is rather: Which party has significant numbers that are for what you want, and how can you encourage them and replace the others?

There are one or two Republicans that take it in turns to vote against their party when they know they have the numbers to win anyway, in order to pretend to be moderate.

Which party confirmed a vaccine denier to run HHS? Now you have deadly measles outbreaks, which was previously eliminated from the US.

Which party allowed Musk to steal all your data and decimate the federal government of competent people? You now have a deadly cyclosporiasis problem, leading to explosive diarrhea. They fired a bunch of people who oversee the nuclear weapons, FFS!

Which party confirmed an AG who is in court defending the fact that he is clearly breaking the Epstein Files Transparency Act? Who indicts innocent people at Trump's request, breaking multiple post-Nixon laws in doing so?

Which party has increased the national debt by $3 trillion and the ratio of national debt to GDP by 25% in the last two years? Republicans never balance the budget.

Democrats, on the other hand, work the other way around. There always seems to be one or two willing to vote against the majority of their party, ensuring popular policies don't get enacted. Like the Republican "moderates", they take it in turns, so it's not too obvious.

You get the policy the most right wing Democrat is willing to support, at best, which is why there was no single payer option in the ACA, for example.
