Why are Social Security Retirement Benefits called "Benifits" as if they are a gift from government when you pay for it yourself your whole career?

As a financial expert I can tell you that the paltry amount of money you receive back from the Social Security retirement system sucks from an investment perspective. You could have been getting 10 times more with that money in retirement had you invested it without the government middleman in the private sector instead in things like stocks, bonds, real estate, commodities, etc. instead of having the government forcefully take it from you and fritter away on waste, fraud, abuse, inflationary activities and corruption.

And yet, even after ripping off your money for 40 years of a career or more they have the nerve to call these payments a "Benefit?" As if we are supposed to be thankful they forced us to hand over our hard-earned money to them all these years and when they give us back pennies on the dollar compared to what we could have earned with it we are supposed to think they are some kind of wonderful benevolent Kings who are bestowing compassion on the masses with a generous royal "Benefit."

Welcome to Democrat socialism. This is what you get.
