Why is it that no matter how much tax they take, government always wants to raise taxes even more. Should they be raising taxes or cutting expenses?

ENOUGH ALREADY! We don't need to raise ANYONE'S taxes. What we need to do is have the government audited on a regular basis and stop the waste, fraud, abuse and corruption, CUT our taxes instead and still have more than enough for the legitimate expenses of government.

I'm a Democrat/Socialist/Communist. We know more about how your money should be spent than you do. Every penny you earn should be confiscated by the government so that we can decide how to spend it. Nothing less than a 100% tax on everything you have is acceptable.

Former Massachusetts governor William Weld once said the if you start giving out dollar bills, you will have people lined up around the block wanting some.

President Trump got a good start in cutting the budget. DOGE uncovered billions in waste and hundreds of thousands of "work from home" employees were furloughed. I still have issues about why DOGE was terminated after Elon Musk had to leave. It was just before the Pentagon was to be investigated.

Now it has been politics as usual with every politician looking to get some pet project funded in their district to get re-elected because President Trump has such a slim majority in Congress.

we raise taxes for the rich by a few percent. they won't fucking go broke. that does wonders. and we can also spend less. we spend way too much on violence and war and the military for example.

How many jobs do poor people create? Who do you think creates the jobs. If you want to take their money away you are hurting someone else who needs a job. And you are hurting the country. Rich people don't have a stack on thousand dollar bills stuffed under their mattress. They INVEST it in job creating ventures. Stop trying to take away other peoples' jobs!
