We hear about his rent freeze on rent stabalized ones. The thing destroying the middle class. Seems he kept his promise but-

but my buddy eric in 222nd street just renewed his lease. He did not want to move so rent rose $200 from $2,400 per month, in 2025 not frozen. $2,600 per month and worse that was tthe common price called market data.

"July 2026 Averages: Market data shows rates around $2,600 per month for equivalents".

So mamdani policy did not help affordibility. Nor really freeze rent prices.

It is only hurting middle class leading to bank foreclosure!

Wait till you see what happens when his government grocery stores open up.
Just think about it. 30% off basic goods…. Grocery stores work on a 1-3% profit margin. They can’t compete so they could end up going out of business. Those Mamdani stores will be so packed with people, items will sell out. The 30% off will need to be made up by the tax payer.
End results…. Less stores in NYC. Higher taxes, 30% off if you don’t mind waiting in line AND items done sell out.
None of mamdani’s policies are any good but I’m not sure if that’s on purpose or he is just inexperienced.

You mention tax. Correct if he really wanted affordability lower that new york city 12% tax for food. But he does not!

Mamdani was not going to provide free buses, as it is not within his purview to waive fares for buses and trains. But he already knew that before he even hinted at free buses and trains. He was lying outright because he knew the dummies would vote for him with the promise of everything free, free, free, even though he knew that he could never enact it. After all, he did not have the authority to do so. Just like the Governor of New Jersey did. She promised everything the people wanted, and when elected, she flipped to AMERICA LAST against her constituents

It was determined before the election that the mayor does not have any authority to set prices on the state run transit system. There were other things that he would not be able to do. Still , stupid people voted for him anyway. I wonder what gay people thought as he marched them all to the top of the Empire State Building and threw them off the roof.
