As for the world around us it changed & it’s changing every day & unfortunately people & generations are changing as well. As for evolution it should be moving forward however nowadays some people are proof that evolution is moving in reverse.
As for Gen Z teens something happened however it didn’t happen to all.
As I look around it’s a strange world & on the job the same thing you noticed I have noticed as well.
People nowadays aren’t showing up to work or if they do show up they show up late & don’t want to do anything except play on their phones. As for my company a lot of Gen Z employees don’t make it & they get fired & I love it because it make more overtime others.
Entry level jobs are a net negative investment. When i started working at $8.10 an hour I was loosing money to get to work even by walking because I was walking till my big toes touched concrete through the whole shoe.
My whole paycheck went to maintaining my uniform and food to get to work. I was in negative 40 degree weather too. If I had a kid wanting to work today I'd have to slap them around and throw a video game at them to save me money. It's that bad anymore.
i don't really care how many hours people work or whether they don't work. they also don't have to work; that's their decision. i'm not paying for their stuff or anything. it's just the people at my work. and i wouldn't say anything even if it bothered me, but they are also rude and disrespectful to others while being unreliable. and it's not because someone did something to them; that wasn't the case. they just meddle into other business and stir up stuff and other stuff that I deal with comes
that comes with them.
like, why work if you can’t? also, one guy at my job didn’t show up for three shifts that I was scheduled to work
i mean, he didn’t show up for his shifts like no call no show
If you’re 25 to 29 you’re also GenZ
Why are you generalizing your own generation?
Haven’t you met lazy people 10 years ago mixed with hard working ones?
People are individuals.
Generalizing a generation is narrow minded and a waste of time
New York Schools have people in their schools till twenty, along with regular school children, and even at that age, they still can not read, write, or do math. THANK YOU, RANDY WEINGARTEN. You want them to show up for work on time and maybe even know their job. Please stop daydreaming about the impossible.
Unfortunately it's not just gen z teens, many older of gen z and millennials do the same thing. And it's because they were coddled too much as children.
I know a millennial with two jobs. She works full-time at one of them, while the other is just for extra money
they could have 2 jobs, you never know
Sure, I know millennials with two jobs and I know gen zs with two jobs.
I've noticed this trend too. Not once since I got with my company, has anyone in gen z passed their 90 day probationary period. They always end up fired or quitting.
Because as kids they got trophies for coming in last so their feelings wouldn't be hurt and so they grow up expecting to have the world handed to them on a silver platter at someone else's expense.
They give us hardworking ones a bad rep sadly. I think it's cos a lot of them got into the workplace for the first time around covid so got used to working from home etc.
I'm sure it happens. I'm a Gen Zer (21) but always show up to work and my college classes on time. It was how I was brought up
They realize their jobs don't care about them and act accordingly
I have been working for a long time so why are people mentioning millennials. please talk about young people
Seems a reality for certain cultures
Not a gen z thing only
they don't show up a lot when they can't find covers
ok. i am talking about my coworkers
Good for them!👍 f*** fascist employers!
