Unfortunately, there is little we can often do about it. The biggest rights in question are decided by lawmakers, not us. The only thing we can do is vote for change and make our voices heard.

Even then it takes time to change rights and often there are not enough numbers to change it. That's the biggest problem. That and government moves so slowly on issues and then may prioritize other things as more important.

For example, the reality that lawmakers view the yearly state budget as more important than reproductive rights is no great wonder.

Because the patriarchy has a massive PR direction. So not literally but its kinda true.

Regardless, the fight must continue. They want you to just accept it and give up...

Because even when we make ground, and get constitutional protection, guys routinely vote to strip us of that progress.

It would seem that not enough women are fully engaged in the political system. I know many who don't even care about voting.

Even when we are, they enact voter suppression tactics. A large amount of us are in college and on campus so they remove our ballot boxes. Most of us vote by mail, so they try to ban it. They gather data where we tend to live and break it up with redistricting attempts or harder barriers to voting regulations locally

African Americans continue to face the same obstacles. It takes persistence and large turnout. The war for justice and equal rights consists of constant battling. We can't be discouraged by setbacks, or it will never change. I refuse to give up!

They don't. Their races rights aren't determined by state, location or administration. It's literally just women, of every race and age.

Gerrymandering is happening by race, not gender. Regardless, you have to keep fighting even if you don't feel like it.

Gerrymandering happens by politics. If x demographic voted Zs way, then z would make sure you're in their district and concentrated. It's when a area is not they break it up. It's not just race, its by voting bloc.

Not a matter of feeling like it. There's no point because even when you win, they bend the rules until you're back at square one anyways.

You can't stop fighting. Can you imagine what it must have been like for Susan B Anthony... and others? You wouldn't even be able to vote if it weren't for them. The fight has to continue!
